This is handy information to have – the knowledge that there is a choice. I’ve always found myself retrofitting consumer-grade shelving units with steel flat stock let into dados under the shelves…
Needless to say, this is a lot of fooling around, and defeats the convenience of buying cabinets and shelving that you are supposed to be able to put together in part of an afternoon or evening.
